Motherlodge presents A People’s Garden Sundown Sunday
During the warm months of the year, The People’s Garden in Bushwick hosts a jam/hootenanny on Sundays at the corner of Greene and Broadway. On the eve of the biggest event in Motherlodge’s 2 year history, Motherlodge will host an indoor Sundown Sunday at Goodbye Blue Monday in Bushwick. The mics will be on for a night of music and performance by People’s Garden regulars and visiting Motherlodgers. At the center of the evening will be the visual work of artist Michael Arthur and a film showing with improvised score by Ray Rizzo (Motherlodge, Dawn Landes and The Hounds, Days Of The New), Sam Cohen (Yellowbirds, Apollo Sunshine), Malcolm Gold (Days Of The New, Sheryl Crow) and others.
Scheduled to jam are: Sam Cohen, Tyrone Cotton, Alanna Fugate, Malcolm Gold, Dan Hardin, J.P. Lebangood, Erin Lennox, Scott Mertz, Ray Rizzo, Ron Whitehead and maybe Pee Wee.
Goodbye Blue Monday is free, but the hat will be passed to collect a suggested $5 for the artists.
