Wind up for MOTHERLODGE Weekend with a night of unplugged jangle, blues and burlesque. Ian Waugh’s beautiful film, followed by a mélange of (mostly) acoustic sets, ranging from banjo picking to cabaret, featuring Lady Rizo, Louisville’s master singer/ songwriter Tyron Cotton, and Steve Salett, a former King of France.

Eat, watch movies, talk, listen, and dance MOTHERLODGE-style, Friday night at Bushwick Starr. Come early for “slow soul food” prepared by Chef Timothy Tucker from the Center of Hope soup kitchen of Louisville, KY’s Salvation Army. Stay on for films and readings by award-winning international arists. Stay late for the Freakathon of Funk. All at Bushwick Starr, one of Brooklyn’s up-and-coming theater/ music venues.

Part live collage, part salon and part rockshow, MOTHERLODGE SUNDAY: SOUND AND VISION is a night packed with cutting-edge collisions of music, film, theater, and discussions featuring work by Less the Band, The Lisps, filmmaker Ian Waugh, playwright/ musician Molly Rice, and Louisville singer/ songwriter Tyrone Cotton. Panel discussions among the artists will be led by playwright/ musician Adam Rapp and poet Ronnie Dorsey.
